I am a writer and editor with over 15 years of mainstream magazine experience. I've worked on staff for such publications as CosmoGirl, Essence, EBONY and Heart & Soul. I've edited two books for girls, one of which was chosen as a best book for teenagers by the New York Public Library and nominated for an award by the American Library Association. I've also published my own independent magazine, which scored interviews with notables around the world, including Benazir Bhutto, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Alina Fernandez (radio host and daughter of Fidel Castro), actress Lisa Bonet and rapper Missy Elliot.
